July is King Salmon Time at the OUTPOST Camp

Although we may see a few king salmon in late June, don’t count on it… the king salmon fishing picks up after early July at the OUTPOST camp. Peak king run timing, as it is for all salmon species, is different from one part of the state to another. June and July are generally considered peak months in Bristol Bay and most other areas of Alaska.
If you want to battle behemoth salmon in small water (we often sight cast to them), we’d suggest planning your Alaska fishing trip to our OUTPOST camp during the 2nd, 3rd or 4th week of July for prime king fishing.
And don’t forget your 10 weight!
