Fifty Places to Fly Fish Author Chris Santella in Austin, TX
The Inspiration of Fly Fishing
with Fifty Places author Chris Santella
Is it the solitude of beauty of the natural settings where fish live? Is it the grace of casting? Or the singlemindedness of purpose the sport demands? Popular fly fishing author and New York Times contributor Chris Santella will speak on the appeal and inspiration of fly fishing, based on his two newest books, Why I Fly Fish and The Hatch Is On. Santella is the author of 14 books, including the best-selling Fifty Places series from Stewart, Tabori & Chang, which includes Fifty Places To Bike Before You Die, Fifty Places To Play Golf Before You Die and Fifty Places To Fly Fish Before You Die. He’s based in Portland, Oregon.
5pm @ BookPeople, Saturday June 8
603 N Lamar Blvd Austin, TX 78703
The book, Fifty Places to Fly Fish Before You Die, has helped keep Alaska Wilderness SAFARI on the map as an ultra unique coastal fly fishing trip in Alaska. (I can’t be there, but I hope you can come out to show Chris some support, and enjoy his presentation.)
